The below 3  pictures show cowls that are NOT allowed to be used on a solid fuel appliance, and show why!  brushes cant clean them, a carbon monoxide disaster waiting to happen.

This is what happens when you burn wet/damp wood, poor quality wood and dont have your chimney swept at LEAST once a year
